‘Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness’ Screenwriter Confirms Deadpool Cameo Discussion

Does the thought of Deadpool (played by Ryan Reynolds) make an appearance in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness does that sound cool to you? Well, the production team certainly thought so. It’s a shame that didn’t happen in the final film. Here’s why:

No Deadpool vs. Doctor Strange?

No, Deadpool is not on this poster. Stop looking already.

comics recently released a report on an exclusive interview they had with the screenwriter for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness: Michael Waldron. Although the overall interview apparently covered the length and breadth of the latter strange doctor movie, this particular report focused on one thing in particular. As you might have guessed, that would be Deadpool.

Judging by the expression on his face, he would have been tickled pink to bring Deadpool into the story. Alas…

According to Michael Waldron, there have been high-level discussions about adding Deadpool to the game. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. They seriously talked about the possibility of this during production. Unfortunately, they ultimately decided not to. They just couldn’t find a way to fit the talkative mercenary into the movie in a way that made sense. Waldron’s exact words are as follows:

“Yeah, we talked about it. I think we talked about everything in this movie. So, [it] It would have been crazy not to lift that, but in the end it didn’t seem… It didn’t seem like the right place. But yes, of course, we talked about it.

Deadpool: “Mike, say it’s not!”

So yeah, that’s why there’s no Deadpool in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Unfortunately, as someone who hasn’t watched the movie yet, I can’t say if it would have been better with Deadpool. We’ll just have to take the production team’s word for it that the cameos that are already in the movie, like Charles Xavier and America Chavez, are a perfect fit.
